Royals Baseball

Spring time has come upon us for real!! You all know what that means? Royals baseball!!! It is time for my yearly post on why the Kansas City Royals will win it all this year. With opening day approaching us, it is a time for hope for all baseball teams, a time that anybody has a chance to win it all.
There are several reasons this year will be a special year for the Royals. The first reason is Zack Grienke. Need I say anymore. He is the best pitcher in baseball period. Look for him to win at least 20 games. He is looking sharp in spring training. The rest of the staff has got to come together and we need at least two more 10 game winners to have have a shot at the pennant. Gel Meche and maybe Hudson?? I don't really know but someone is due for a break out year.
Billy Butler is going to have a season to remember! All those doubles last year are going to be homers this year. Look for him to have 30 plus dingers!!
We also have the best closer in baseball. The Mexicutionier!! Get the ball to him the game is over!!

Its been way to long since I wrote on here. It is now time for things that just burn my toast!! People in general do what they want to do. People make time for the things that are the most important to them. When people say they are busy it really means they do not want to make time for you because you don't matter to them. That's just the way life is. You got to learn it early.

Another thing that burns my toast is getting a text message at 3am in the morning while i am sleeping!! there should be a rule against that!!

Being lied to is another thing that just burns my toast! Just tell me the freakin truth, I can handle it. There is no need to sugar code things, in the end it just makes things way worse.

Well that is all for today, I will be back on here writing more often hopefully. Oh one last thing what about the OK city Thunder!!! They put it to the lakers the other day. It was probably the greatest time ever to be a thunder fan that night!!

its been awhile

First of all I would like to apologize to all my faithful followers that view my blog, if you are still around. It has been several months since I have wrote my last blog. Some would say its because I'm lazy, others would say I'm real busy. I say you make the choice.

So a lot has happened since I last wrote on here. Summer went really well for me. I got to spend a lot of time with the family and do a lot of front porch swinging. I moved to moore, oklahoma in the beginning of Aug. I am currently the J.V. basketball coach and assistant for the varsity. Are J.V. team got its first victory of the season beating Arlington Baptist in a thriller in over time 97-86. I got my first coaching win!

I like it down here in Oklahoma, I like the slow pace and how sports are huge here.

What about those Kansas City Chiefs!!! Winning two in a row. I would never of thought they could of beat the steelers. Amazing!! I got to watch the final part of the game and was screaming with joy the whole time as Chris chambers was racing down the sideline to set us up for the winning field goal. Unbelievable we just knocked off the defending super bowl champs. (side not for chuck, I was a little mad it had to be Chris chambers since he is on your fantasy football team and that catch made you beat me.) The chiefs could be something special next year, if they get some good draft picks and free agent signings.

Zack Grienke?? What a year he had this year!! I got to see him pitch a lot and he by far is one of the best pitchers in the game. If he was on a good team he would of won 25 games.

College basketball is starting to get going, Texas looks real good this year. They play some great defence. I look for them and Kansas to compete for the big 12 crown.

Always be yourself and never try to be someone your not.

Now it is the time for things that just burn my toast!!

Things that burn my toast is when people use you to get things they want. The next thing that burns my toast is when you turn the heat up and it gets way to hot, then you turn it down and it gets way to cold. I can't find that happy medium.

Just catching up

My faithful followers I would like to apologize for my long absence. Lets just say i have been completely swamped ever since basketball season started. Wow that was a long time ago.

The basketball season came and it went. It was one of the most frustrating seasons i have every faced. There was a quote from the first game that was in the paper that said, "We made to many mistakes and some of our young guys tried to do much." That was our season in a nut shell. We were a young team and make way to many mistakes. We went 10-28 and two of those win were from a forfeit. Loosing 28 games can really start to get to you. I would say the hardest one for me was at the acca tournament when we hit a three with 5 seconds left and took the lead by 1. The opposing team took the ball down, dribbled it off there leg, i guy picks it up at the free throw line and banks it in to win the game.

Well my grandpa was diagnosed with stage four cancer. Stage 4 is the worst stage. The cancer is in his stomach, pancreas and moving rapidly. He will not be around much longer. I went and visited him this past weekend and he was in high spirits. He seemed really happy and not scared at all. I believe this comes's is from him knowing where he is going to go in the next few weeks. He is going to a place where there are no more sickness, no more old broken down bodies and sin is completely gone. He is going with his father, Jesus Lord Almighty.

It is funny how fast life passes you by. It seems like yesterday i was just starting college and now i am almost done. Where did the days go? I have a lot of decisions to make in the next couple of months and they will be hard ones. How do you ever know if your making the right choices?? I guess that is a question nobody really knows. I love brownies!!

Now its time for Brants Burn...

Something that gets to me is when people come into my room and eat and then leave all there wrappers in my room. Pick it up, have some courtesy. Or when people start arguing about sports and they have no clue what there talking about, no the facts before, come on rookies.

It has been awhile since i have wrote on here. A lot has happened since then. The rays are in the world series. Who would of thought that at the beginning of the year. That just gives me hope for the royals next year. As a royal fan i have come to realize i have said there is always next year for as long as i can remember now. What is up with the Missouri Tigers football program these days? Could it be they are just not as good as we all thought they were. Did they forget you still have to play defence in football to win games. Why do they never run the ball. You herd it here my preseason pick to win it all in the NBA, Boston Celtics, that's right with the repeat!!!

We have been practicing for 2 weeks now in basketball. It is really a blast to play with these guys. First game is Nov. 7 against Champion Baptist. It is ambassador rally so it should be a packed house. Everybody needs to come out and cheer us on.

We've all been there before. When a girl says to you "your like a brother to me" that is some of the worst things you can hear from a girl. I have a friend who is going threw this right now and he can not loose the big brother image he has. Why is it that girls do not like nice guys?? They like the jerks of the world. It seems like the nice guy always gets shoved under the bus. Girls try not to say your like a big brother to me, it drives guys crazy, because what it really means is there is no way in this life time i would ever want to date you. Just be honest i tell us it without beating around the bush. It may hurt for awhile but in the long run its better for us.

I would like to hear everyones feed back on all these things.

The Chicago Cubs, choked in the playoffs once again. It looked like they did not come to play at all. After winning 95 games in the regular season this was a huge disappointment for them to come out and get man handled by the dodgers. How cool would that be if the Dodgers and Red Sox's were in the world series. You would have Manny playing his old team, Joe Torre there, and it would be a fun time.

The Chiefs game was pretty horrible to watch. Chiefs looked like a minor league team playing today. They had under 100 yards of offence, Larry rushed for 2 yards, and the defence could not stop a 3 and long all day. I guess this is what growing pains feel like. You look really good one week and the next you are embarrassed. You know what they say, "You can go from the penthouse to the out house in a hurry." That is so true in a lot of things in life. Things can be going great then wham, look its a mess and you have to fix it.

Basketball starts tomorrow, with the dreaded 2 mile run. I hope its not to hot. It will be good to start basketball and get it going. should be a very fun year.

We've all been there before......

So I still want to be friends. That is one of the worst statements in the world. How can you still be friends with someone that you liked?? Guys and girls just don’t be friends. There is no depth to the friendship. That is just an easy opt out statement to not hurt someone’s feelings and make things not sound as bad as they are. My advice to a guy when they hear this statement is say we can know each other but not friends. You will never really be friends after being together, so don’t even suggest it. Just move on.

well hello

Well, are guys soccer team beat Calvary Bible College yesterday 3-1. Calvary scored on a penalty kick. Are guys team right now is currently in first place in the conference. Huge game coming up with Manhattan Christian college.

What is up with Ricky Williams, he is a pot head. I think he would of been a hall of fame type running back if it wasn't for all the pot he smoked. It drives me crazy when people with a lot of talent just waste it. When guys like us would do anything for talent like that, instead were 6 ft and 150 pounds.

The Missouri football plays Nebraska this weekend, it has the making to be a huge upset for Nebraska. Reason number 1 its at Nebraska, that is just a hard place to play at. Its been awhile since Missouri won at Nebraska. Reason number two, Missouri had a bye last week. They might be a little rusty or start off slow. Reason number 3 and most important all other top 25 teams are deciding to loose.

We've all been there before. Today a slept in on all my classes. I feel really bad cause i paid for those classes, but the sleep was way worth it. Is it wrong for every once in awhile to just be extremely lazy and Skipp everything??? I think if you have a responsibility to something you should do it. What if you are given 6 skips a semester. You should be able to use them i think.

CHIEFS WIN!!!!!!!

Well today the chiefs snapped a 12 game losing streak. It was about time they got a win. Doesn't things always seem to happened when you least expect it. The broncos were 3-0 and chiefs 0-3. I personally thought the game would of been a blow out, but the chiefs played hard got some turnovers and pulled out a victory. Its a lot like life when you give up and think all hope is gone something like this happens. The chiefs have a way of just keeping your hopes up. I've seen this all my life.

I got a lot of things going on this week. Basketball practice starts next Monday, i am excited to see what kind of team we have. We are talented i just want to see how we all play together. I think everybody should take one day off a week to just rest and relax. This busy world today, nobody ever gives there body proper rest.

Is the Boston Celtics going to run away with the NBA title again this year?? What about college basketball who are the good teams in this year?? Kansas lost a lot of players but the talent they brought in will be pretty good. I guess i need to do some research on my teams. MU basketball is slowly getting better, i predict them to finish 5th in the big twelve this year. With one or two big upsets.

We've all been there before.... Being the third wheel on a date is one of the worst experiences you can imagine. Its awkward, your lonely and the couple always tryto get you involved. Usually you have to ride in the back and just sit there strangely. I would rather sit at home by myself than be the third wheel. well we all have been there before...
